Filmmaking
Over the course of the two years we've spent learning to make micro-budget films, we've learnt a few things.
For example, we've learnt that there are certain aspects of filmmaking, notably the audio aspects, that very few people are willing to part with information about. And we're not talking Skywalker Ranch type secrets, either. Just basic stuff. Trying to jump the first few hurdles of anything is the hardest (unless you are crippled near end of the hurdle-jumping track, but that's a whole different issue).
For that reason, we've adopted the mentality of sharing everything we know with anyone who's interested.
To that end, we've done two audio commentaries and an in-depth making-of featurette of our first feature, Insecurity, and plan to continue producing these, with as much detail as we can for any other aspiring filmmakers out there.
Also, I keep my own blog about my filmmaking efforts, focusing (more often than not) on the technical problems we run into, and any solutions or workarounds I come up with.
So, if you're interested in asking us any questions about things you think we did well, poorly, or just ask questions on the off chance that we can give advice & hints, please feel free to contact us - either by message on this web site, or in the Filmmaking forum.
